The UI is good but there are two things that bother me: 1. I'm unable to filter by drinking habits. As a non-drinker who strictly wants a non-drinker this means endless scrolling and checking of people who 80-90% of the time do drink. 2. When it asks "Are you enjoying the app?" I'm unable to actually write any feedback. I've been meaning to send feedback about the prior point but alas I guess they don't want it.
This app has potential. I do appreciate how you can browse profiles, but there are two things that bother me: message notification has felt very inconsistent (sometimes I'm notified more or less right away and other times I don't get it for half an hour or more), and how I get essentially blocked from the other's profile after they terminate contact, which feels very cold hearted especially when there's no explanation. No app is perfect, but these are things that I'd like done differently.
Good but they need to workout the messaging problems. It takes forever for you to get notified you have a new message. But most of the time, I get an email stating I have a message when I never got a notification from the app. Also, there is no way to input a limit of distance. I'm getting likes/views from across the country. I do like the questions when you set up your profile. It helps with matches. But because of the kinks, I feel like this app isn't worth the price.
"New" accounts only appear after subscription expired. I purchased the subscription, used it often, checked my radius settings, no one new within 300 miles. And very few even when I adjusted it to my STATE of Texas. Then, within minutes of my subscription expiring, bam. Lots of new accounts. All within 50 miles. Just like that. Apparently, when you put settings to certain distances, eharmony holds back and doesn't show everyone within that distance. At least, not until they want you to renew.
I feel so disappointed. I have some friends who found their husbands on this app years ago and I've dragged my feet because of the pay commitment. I finally decide to pay, even though I heavily dislike how they blur everyone's profile images, only to find I have a whopping 10 profiles to look at within 60 miles. I live in the suburbs. I'm in a decently populated area and my criteria aren't that deep. eHarmony was no help either. They have nothing to offer. If you're searching, skip this app.
I would love to give this a proper try, but they make the membership extremely binding. The smallest option available is 6 months with forced automatic renewals. You can "cancel anytime," but only if you jump through hoops backward with your eyes closed. If there was a 1 month, no renewal option, then this site would be good. Reading articles and reviews online confirms to me that that app is dying. Too bad.
Not a good dating app. It feels like LinkedIn for dating. Also way more expensive than it's worth, and they get you with annual plans you can't cancel. I'm locked into ~$50/mo for a year and barely used it for a couple weeks. They make it difficult and confusing to cancel your subscription, as their goal is primarily to make money rather than put out a quality product. Definitely avoid eharmony. If it worked, you'd stop using it and they'd stop making money.
